The most important element in determining the quality of our practice is the experience and compassion of the people who make up our practice. Animal Health Center treats your pet like one of our family members.

Dr. Kea Apilado Fisher - Veterinarian

Kea is the founding Veterinarian of the Animal Health Center. She graduated from The Ohio State University Veterinary School in 1986. She has worked in Florida since graduating, the last ten years at the Animal Health Center. Since an early age she always had a love for animals and worked in animal shelters and veterinary clinics before entering veterinary school. Kea has had many interests and hobbies from marathons to tennis. Her love and caring for animals has been her lifelong foundation, which led her to become a veterinarian. She cares for all animals as if they were a member of her own family. Kea is married and has 2 Daughters and a beautiful Whippet named Katie.

Dr. Erick Funcke - Veterinarian

Erick started his career by attending veterinary school in Peru. He came to the United States and became a US citizen. He enjoys all areas of small animal medicine and has been a member of our staff for 6 years. He has a special bond with animals, and a very calming personality. He has bred and raised dogs since a early age. Erick competed in equestrian events and raises racing  pigeons. He shares his love of animals with his wife and two boys.

Marisa - Technician:  Marisa graduated from Veterinary school in Peru. She enjoys working with all pets and brings a wealth of experience to our practice . We are proud to have her here. 

Robert - Veterinary assistant

Robert first was a client for 5 years then 3 years ago joined our staff. He had previously worked as a human ultrasound technician for 5 years and had wanted to work in the veterinary field. His friendly demeanor and caring personality have made him a great addition to our staff.

Sandra - Technician CVT Sandra has twenty years experience as a veterinary technician. She has worked for many years in emergency and specialty practices and brings a great deal of knowledge with her to our staff.

Gregg - Technician

Tara - Receptionist 

Tara has a unique way of juggling the ten things you have to do at the same time to be a great receptionist. She accomplishes them with a caring compassion that you cant teach.

Mary - Veterinary Assistant/ Receptionist

Mary has been with us since the first day and brings tons of love to every pet she cares for. She is a great asset to our practice.

Hours
Monday and Thursday       8AM to 7PM

Tuesday and Friday           8AM to 6PM

Wednesday and Saturday  8AM to 5PM
